Green Light
Hello!
As I promised, the Stockholm -update :D (one day late, but who cares)
Over all it was a nice trip.
We ate good food (loads of it) and I must say that the city is really beautiful (pictures to follow).
On tuesday we left at noon-ish and arrived in Helsinki at 1:20pm. We left my friends car at his boyfriends place and then took a tram to the center. We had a bite to eat and then we went to the police station to get my passport.
At this moment I realized I had packed far too much stuff with me and dragging the bags behind me was a pain in the ass :D (I could've left my laptop at home, the other two pairs of jeans I took and loads of other stuff too)
Anyhow, then we headed for the terminal and finally I could relax cause it started to feel like a vacation at last.
On Wednesday morning we arrived to Stockholm. We dropped our bags at the Hotel and headed for Globen (the place where the concert was held) to get our tickets. Afterwards we headed to the center, through the old part of the town.
We did some shopping and ate.
I found a really nice tee for hubby and shoes for myself. I also bought a few albums; Bat For Lashes, Two Suns & Cut/Copy, In Ghost Colours (both I now regret a bit cause they're not THAT good.)
Here's the shoes... I know I'm standing in a funny way, but it was the only way to show the shoes from the front and the side xP
I have a sort of obsession for white shoes and I just love how those look, even though they're quite simple, plain even. They were really comfy too.
On the evening we headed to the concert and I can't believe how cheap taxis are in Sweden ! You have to agree on the price with the driver before-hand and we paid like 25€ for a trip that was about 30 minutes ! In Finland it would be like 75€ or more.
The concert was really good !
When it started I felt really strangely. I didn't want to sit down cause Beyoncé's voice totally blew me away ! She's truly an amazing singer and an artist. The show lasted for two hours and it was just mind-blowing performance after another. I even liked Diva, which I usually hate. The crowd seemed to go wilder on every track and it was really nice. The best part was when the crowd sang about half of Irreplaceable, Beyoncé seemed to be really impressed and it was really nice cause almost everyone seemed to be singing to it.
On Thursday we headed back home, and even though I was a little sad that the trip lasted for such a short time, and I didn't really get enough time to go through the city, I was happy to go back home (maybe more on that later... :P).
Here's a few pictures I took in the old part of the town:
