Fairytale
The Eurovision Song Contest (finals) was held yesterday in Moscow in Olympiskij Arena.
It was a ok show, nothing really spectacular tbh. I think the Finnish show was far better, and still remains as the number one ESC - even though this years show was obviously much bigger.
I really wasn't as excited about it as I've been before but it was good fun watching them, and I was surprised that the quality of the songs has really come up from a few years back. There was no jokers this time, which was sad cause it's always funny to see someone make a fool out of themselves.
Finland was last. Lol.
Didn't really surprise me, but I was sad that we lost with a good song :s I think Lose Control was just okay, and compared to some it was a masterpiece...
Norway came in first as it was expected, with Alexander Rybak - Fairytale. A mediocre track. I have no idea how people find it appealing. Oh well.
He's kinda cute, but not that cute.
My favourites were Albania, Iceland, Estonia and Switzerland... The Swiss entry, Love Bugs, didn't even make it to the finals, which was a shame cause it was a GREAT song.
It's really rare that there's an actually great song in ESC so I was a bit disappointed.
Here's my favourite performances:
(Albania, Kejsi Tola - Carry Me In Your Dreams, performance from the second semifinal)
(Iceland, Yohanna - Is It True, official video)
(Switzerland, Lovebugs - Híghest Heíghts, official video)
(Ukraine, Svetlana Loboda - Be My Valentine (Anti-crisis Girl), performance from the second semifinal)
(Greece, Sakis Rouvas - This Is Our Night, Greek preview video performance)

Mmm a bit hard to select best from videos you uploaded. ... I vote for Kejsi Tola - Carry Me In Your Dreams!!! Her deep and strong voice moved me best.
Actually, I'm kinda envious of this internatinal competition( only Euro?). I'm sure such a big event haven't happen so far and won't do by far among Asia. Maybe you know reasons...
Don't lose you mind of finland's team. Next time for sure! ;)
